January 1

  • Begin acquiring continuing education credits through December 31, 2009 for license renewal by June 30, 2010.

2009

September 30

  • Percentage of licensees will receive written Audit Notice from the Board to submit continuing education documentation by December 31, 2009 in order to be eligible to renew by June 30, 2010.
 

December 31

  • Deadline for all licensees to complete continuing education to be eligible for renewal by June 30, 2010.
  • Deadline for licensees audited to comply with audit requirements.

2010

March 17 (on or before)

  • Distribution of renewal notice.
  • NOTE: Notices will be sent to the last known address in our system. Licensees are required to notify the Board office with any address changes.  
  • Please contact the board office if you do not receive the renewal notice at this time.
 

May 31

  • Postmark deadline for timely renewal submissions.
  • Maintain a copy of documents you submit to the Board, proof of payment, and proof of postage.
 

June 1

  • Pay late fee for renewal postmarked after May 31, 2010.
 

June 17 (on or before)

  • Receive renewed license from Board if application was postmarked by May 31.
 

June 30 

  • Receive renewed license from Board if application was postmarked after May 31.
 

July 1

  • Check your license for expiration date.
  • Stop practicing if your license has expired.
  • Contact the Board to apply for reinstatement if your license has lapsed. Reinstatement forms are also available in the Forms section of our website—www.mdotboard.org.
  • Reinstatements are reviewed by the Board on the 3rd Friday of each month.
